WhiteMagic Display Technology Introduce by Japan Display Inc. Extremely HD Display that Now Even Read in Sunlight

A display that is so bright that it even remains readable under direct sunlight, is certainly one thing - with the now venture by the Joint Japan Display Inc. presented new White Magic display are the future but probably not only matte screen films, but also flashlights during outdoor trip obsolete. With a brightness of 1000 nit the new White Magic display outshines the entire competition and will still consume 40 percent less power during normal operation.

WhiteMagic Display Technology
Reminder: Current smartphones and tablets of the upper class settle in most cases at a brightness of about 400 to 500 nit and can already look very uncomfortable on the eyes at maximum brightness. In the laboratory test of the Samsung Galaxy S5 units resulted in the measurements an already impressive value of 698 nit, which otherwise is unmatched by the current smartphone league. However, such a high brightness could only be achieved through automatic brightness control - apparently because of the power consumption in long-term use would be much too high. Such concerns JDI has not evident in his new White Magic display and tops with a prototype panel in the 7-inch format the value of the Galaxy S5 with a peak brightness of 1000 nit again significantly.

What would be the maximum brightness of other displays, is for the White Magic display, however, virtually the norm: nit With a light intensity of 500 to the display for a more than adequate representation far from worry of direct sunlight and consume still 40 percent less electricity than it is the case with conventional displays. The secret behind the White Magic technology is the arrangement of the sub-pixel matrix, because instead of the usual structure with the Red, Green and Blue points, there is also a white sub-pixels each. The display is, moreover, not only bright, but thanks LTPS-IPS technology also high quality - with Full HD resolution and viewing angles of 160 degrees.

A quite as revolutionary innovation is the White Magic display otherwise not: Originally the technology was introduced by Sony JDI in 2012 and in Sony Xperia P. The middle-class smartphone came by it actually on a grandiose luminosity of about 960 nit, but could not due to the remaining specifications never really the attention of customers to draw yourself. The top models such as the Sony Xperia S and Xperia Z, the following models were again fitted with normal LCDs - probably because the pixel density in the technology at that time represented a limiting factor. Judging from the current presentation after the teething problems of the technology have now been remedied, which for an early release of such luminous Tablets - lets hope - and maybe even smartphones.
