Along with the announcement of the Galaxy Alpha, Samsung has announced its new SoC manufactured in 20nm.

The reason oktapyrino Exynos 5430, who promises impressive performance, and low energy consumption.

The oktapyrino SoC architecture is big.LITTLE featuring four cores A15 with a maximum operating frequency and the 1.8GHz quad-core A7 with 1.3GHz maximum.

The A15 cores undertake demanding action, and A7 are used when not running something demanding for improvement of autonomy.

Simultaneously, the construction of 20nm mean ~ 25% "lower" energy consumption relative to a SoC manufactured at 28nm.

The Exynos 5430 supports Heterogeneous multi-processing, which means that all 8 cores can run simultaneously, if the governor deems necessary.

The SoC can be used to screen resolution up to WQXGA (2560x1600), and features a powerful GPU Mali-T628MP6.

The Galaxy Alpha is the first device to be released with the Exynos 5430 inside (in some countries at least).
