With the advent of Google Now, Google introduced us the voice functions, a new way of handling our device which is very convenient in some cases. Everything starts and ends with the phrase "OK Google" something the OmniROM wants to expand, giving us even more possibilities.
The programmers then started a new project with which we can define our own phrases to do everyday tasks such as launching applications. You can say for example "OK Camera" to open the camera application and use whatever words we want for any application. Unfortunately, the operation will be supported only in English, but we can define English words we use in our daily lives. For example usually say "camera" in Greek and not "camera", while to open the message might say "SMS" which we also use it extensively.
The new feature will only work with AOSP launcher and we can activate pigainotas "Settings> Hotwords". Regarding energy consumption will not cause us a problem as activated after unlock the screen, is not that always-on. As for when it will be available, please update the current (28/05/14) nightlies and enjoy it.
