The Galaxy Note 4, the new flagship of Samsung phablet officially launched yet and raises the bar higher.
The Korean company has developed a "beast" with Snapdragon 805, 3GB RAM and 16MP camera with optical stabilization system.
For starters I want to say that the presentation of the device was excellent, pleasant, with humor, without tiring and without smoke and mirrors. (Okay, and Rachel was amazing).
Design Galaxy Note 4
The design of Note 4 left me positive first impressions, which helped the metal frame and small bezels. The device will be available in four colors: white, black, pink and -of course- gold / bronze. The Hardware Home Button, although is a registered trademark of Samsung finds not so consistent, although at this point I will refer to a different article.
SoC, processor and memory
Note 4 is the flagship device and the SoC confirms: Snapdragon 805 in 2,7Ghz, GPU Adreno 420 to 600Mhz, 3GB dual-channel LPDDR3e RAM memory to 933 MHz, and Standard Capacity 32GB expandable card MicroSD. Respectively will be released in some markets (but not in our country) and version Exynos SoC.
S-Amoled screen in Note 4
Note 4 This is the first device in the series Note that offers "more" than the previous screen. It remains to say 5,7in but increases its analysis in QHD (2560x1440), which makes it surpasses a while and dam of 500ppi. The presentation indicated that although there are already more mobile with QHD screens on the market, the fact that Note 4 has S-AMOLED screen makes it "much better" which makes "unfair" to compare them. Also contains 2,5D Gorilla Glass 3, which means that the glass is slightly convex to facilitate the gestures of the edges.
Camera in Note 4
The camera was one of the areas the Samsung stressed enough during the Introductions. The Note 4 has a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilizer, as well as front 3,7MP with fast aperture F1,9. The front camera has a wide angle lens, but also has functions for even more "wide" shots moving slightly right and left camera. The increase in Megapixel front camera has a side effect the ability to record video 2560 × 1440.
S-Pen in Note 4
The hallmark of the series Note, the S-Pen has accepted numerous improvements and corrections in Note 4 to improve the user experience and the actions to go with it "spontaneously". Along with the Air Command will find the Action Memo, Screen Write, Image Clip and the brand new Smart Select to select information from many different "parts" and the easy sharing.
Battery Note 4
Note 4 The battery is 3220mAh, the same substance as that of Note 3. The Samsung said it would provide better autonomy of 7.5% thanks to improvements in hardware. This percentage may not seem impressive, but if you combine it with the fact that it has increased the resolution of the device. Moreover, in Note 4 and will allow quick charging, ie charging from 0 to 50% battery in just 30 minutes.
Maybe something like "even more" in this area, I guess we should expect the upgrade to Android L for even greater improvement.
Availability and price Note 4
The presentation stated that the device will be available in October, so those already in a hurry to get there will have to wait long. The price is expected to be the same as the original price was and Note 3 (~ 750 euros) which obviously makes "luxury for the few." Most interesting to me is not so original price, but how much it costs to ~ 2-3 months from now, whenever and probably "pays" the market.
