Apple Watch: One (old) Patent May be Delayed his Arrival in Switzerland

The Apple Watch has announced several months ago, and recently Apple has organized an event to present it in more detail. After a fairly long wait, on April 10 will launch in selected markets preorders and the first shipments will be held on April 24. Switzerland probably will not be one of them, since Apple must first face a copyright issue.

A patent from 1985 might prevent Apple to use the word «apple» on the clock. The patent that belongs to the company's owner watches Leonard, ending in a few months, namely on 5 December 2015. Thus, Apple may have to come to an agreement with the patent holder or wait a few months before the release of Apple Watch in Switzerland. Those Swiss certainly eager to catch the smart watch the American company in their hands early, will be able to import from a neighboring country.

At present, there is no official position of Apple on the issue, while the service of Switzerland is of course closed for the weekend. So do not be surprised if he does not create an issue that would cause delays and Apple Watch arrived in Switzerland on time.
